4pm, unless you’ve booked an early check-in. We can’t let you in early, so please don’t arrive at midday and wait!

We’re easy to find on Google Maps, but not car Sat Navs. Google your house name and you’ll find us!

We can unload your groceries for a small charge prior to your arrival. Please contact our guest team if you have booked this! Lots of places deliver- Tesco, Asda and Ocado in particular. If you haven’t booked a grocery unpacking and would still like a food delivery, please arrange this to align with your check in time of 4pm.

You’ll receive an email a couple of days prior to your arrival day which will have your door code as there’s no keys on The Hesdin Estate so nothing to loose.
Hesdin “Rules” and Visitors

We want you to have a fabulous time with your friends or family, but we aren’t party houses. We have noise considerations and rules we ask guests to agree to.

Of course! If you want to get away with your friends, and celebrate impending marriage in style, we could just be the place for you. We’ve got lots of “hen” extras too!

Not at the minute no. Never say never. But we’re focussing on other things first!

You better believe we love dogs! We charge less than your kennels ( £25 per dog per night) and there’s tonnes of lovely smells for them on the fields.
Self catering questions

Exclusive use of your house for the duration of your stay. Things like towels, robes, shower gel, teas and coffee, dishwasher tablets etc. There’s an online guest handbook which answers all your FAQ, just scan the QR code! There is an emergency number located in this handbook for if you need it.

No-one night big parties sorry! Our check in days are Mondays or Fridays if you are staying in our bigger homes. We do offer 2 night stays in The Wealthy Merchant - check in days also include Wednesdays for this home.

The Hesdin Estate Build Schedule

We are working away building the next set of homes on The Estate. There are builders working during the week. They know guests are staying and are mindful of loud machinery noise but there will be times you hear building work on site. We aim to complete all building work in 2 years.

We’ve just opened The Wealthy Merchant - our gorgeous 2 bedroom mini getaway! Keep your eyes peeled for more updates.

We’ve had building work on The Hesdin Estate for the last 2 years with guests staying in our finished houses. Our builders never enter the “finished” part of The Estate, and you will not see builders in your property.

No, unless mentioned by your House Manager, there will be no builders working during the weekend.

We’ve got lots of housekeeping options available to you, please contact our team prior to your stay and they will gladly assist.

We’ve got lots of ideas and activities already set up for hen parties, big birthdays and corporate events. Get in touch!

We offer flexible approaches to how you’d like to configure your house. In many bedrooms there is the possibility to add extra bedrooms, we can provide dog beds, highchairs and travel cots too. Just drop us an email!
Booking Questions

Found the house and day you want to stay? We take a non refundable 30% deposit to secure your dates and final payment 12 weeks prior to arrival.

We don’t offer discounts.

More information can be found on our booking process page. Due to the fact our homes are so big, and book months in advance we cannot offer cancellations. We will try to work with you to get the dates rebooked if is more than 9 months to arrival.

Frequently Asked Questions
What time is check-in and can I arrive early?
Our check-in times are 4pm. We do offer the option of early check-in’s but this is a chargeable item. We ask that guests are mindful that our fabulous housekeeping team have a lot of work to do on changeovers, we know you’re excited but please do not arrive early as we cannot let you in your house while our housekeeping team are working.
Do I have exclusive use of everything in the house including the pool?
Yes! Make yourself at home and swim to your hearts content. The pool, the games rooms, the cinema room is exclusively yours. We are on hand if you have any questions but think of the house as yours for however long you book it for.
Can I have extra beds?
We offer the options of added beds at checkout (this is an additional cost) - great for bigger families, friends, hens or to have a little one sleeping in your room.
Do I have to bring anything?
We do not provide shampoo and conditioner, pool towels or blankets. Many of these you can add at checkout if you require them. We provide tea, coffee, sugar, washing up and shower gel.
Are there animals on the Estate and are dogs welcome?
We currently have alpacas, goats and mini pigs ( to be honest they are less mini than I thought they would be but we love them anyway!) We are hopefully going to be getting some more animals soon! Dogs are welcome in our houses at a small charge. Each garden is secure and there are over 20 acres of walk on the Estate you can use, along with other amazing places to go!
Can I have a party at the house?
Parties are not allowed. We have neighbouring properties and ask you are mindful of noise in the evening. We have noise monitors within each house and we will be in contact with you if you are breaching your terms and conditions. Please take a look through the terms and conditions before booking.
Can I check in or out on different days to what you advertise?

Are staff on site to help us?
Each house has an online guest handbook for FAQs and information like - how do the ovens work. There is also an emergency number which can be located in the guest handbook for if you were to need it.
Can I use your assets, photography or name or speak to someone about PR and Press?
