Our Hesdin House rules

We love guests having amazing experiences in our homes, but without sounding all “Angry Dad” there’s a few house rules we like to make clear before you book to stay with us. It’s important for both of us, we don’t want to be a fun sponge, and you don’t want to go away to somewhere that’s not perfect for you and yours. Take a read, and we’re here to chat if you’ve got any questions.

Hesdin Hall, exclusively available holiday home to hire in Wiltshire. Sleeps 24

We aren’t party houses.

We’ve got neighbours, we’ve got guests staying next door who might have young kids, no one wants to hear you signing Taylor Swift at 4am outside. We don’t allow parties and don’t offer one night stays.

No DJs. No Raves. Nothing illegal.

We unfortunately don’t permit raves, DJs, bands, tribute acts, and any live amplified music. Both inside and outside the home. Please respect the noise curfew and think of others.

No smoking or vaping inside.

There’s smoking bins dotted around outside for you to use. Please don’t smoke inside, and outside your window. Please don’t dispose of your butts in the grass - our animals are non smokers.

We need to know about your guests.

We need to know who is staying so please let us know if you’re bringing a pet, enjoying a private chef, life drawing class, or Bollywood dance session and we will discuss whether they need a guest pass with you.

Keep children supervised.

It goes without saying swimming pools are a huge hazard. Please watch your children. There are no lifeguards on duty. Please talk to our Hesdin Crew for tips on how to keep your little ones safe.

Please be considerate to our Hesdin Crew.

Please consider our Housekeeping Crew when your trip is over by leaving the house in a respectable fashion. We don’t expect pristine, but it should not be left in a state that requires excessive deep cleaning.

We are self catered.

We are on hand to answer any questions on your check in day until late, but please don’t treat our staff like 24/7 concierge and contact us only in emergencies or during office hours.

Please don’t steal.

Seems crazy saying this but so many items are stolen from our homes and it just isn’t fair. Ask us where we got it from and we will tell you. If we know you’ve taken something we will politely ask you return it.

Consider the environment.

Swimming pool covers should be used, and heating can be altered to suit your needs. Please don’t put the heating up to 30 and then have all the windows open. You wouldn’t do it at home.

Keep pets off the furniture.

Save bedtime cuddles for when you’re at home. We ask that you keep pets downstairs, clean and refrain from allowing them to chew furniture. Please ask if you want a pet foot bucket.

Keep to the check in / out times.

Unless we’ve prior arranged an early check in, please keep to your 4pm arrival time, and depart by 10am latest. We won’t work around you even if you say you’re just going to keep to one room.

We want to see you again.

We want to develop long term relationships with our guests and see you for any occasion possible over the next few years. We reserve the right to not permit a repeat booking if a guest has been abusive to us or our homes.

And so it begins...
