Feb 2019
And So It Begins…
We viewed this gorgeous, but more than slightly dilapidated farm house in the Feb of 2019 and fell in love. The place oozed potential but needed a little love and time. So we bought the house and barns, applied for all the necessary permissions and set to work. Little did we know, we’d be running headfirst into a national, ok international lockdown, which would stop any lettings and set us back for a year or so.
2020
Booked, Cancelled, Rebooked
Hesdin Hall was our first finished home ( click here to view pictures ) and we were so excited when bookings started to pour in. And then lockdown happened, and then rule of 6, and then the one household, and whatever else. We estimated that for each booking we had on average of 3 different groups book, cancel, postpone and rearrange. Our ever patient team were brilliant, responding to questions and making sure our guests felt safe in our homes.
nov 2021
Pigertons Opens
Our second home Pigertons opened in Nov 2021 - 4 months after we hoped it would. The delays due to COVID, the Suez Canal crisis pushed everything back, and made this quite a difficult build to manage. But boy was it worth the wait!

The Corn Crib Commences
The Corn Crib is our biggest home and our most ambitious to date. We’d never built an indoor pool before, let alone a checkerboard tiled one, so there was lots of googling in between running after our toddler, and a new baby. We are a bit obsessed with alliteration and came up with the name while walking through the nearby corn fields.
LATE2023
Hey Hayho House
Along with renovating our first family home, and doing some pretty big improvements to another holiday home ( we’ll be taking bookings for this one soon!) and perhaps getting a few more animals, we opened our 4th home on The Hesdin Estate late 2023. Hayho House. Converting The Stables and the old fashioned garage into another corker of a home. We know we say this every time, but this one is our favourite….!! It’s been an instant hit with guests, with the underground pool becoming a firm fav.
Early 2024
The Wealthy Merchant
Coming soon, hopefully before our third baby makes an appearance is The Wealthy Merchant. This is our smallest home on The Estate at the minute- sleeping 8 and will feature the most gorgeous of zen environments. We can’t wait to welcome you….!
