Laurie is our Interior Designer and Marketer. She’s responsible for working with our Build Team to make gorgeous holiday homes, and works closely with our Agents, Crew HQ Team and Guests to make sure we are always creating beautiful experiences for our guests. Let’s get to know her.

1. If you could magically teleport yourself and your friends to The Hesdin Estate for a weekend, which celebrity would you choose as your ultimate party animal to ensure an unforgettable time?

“I’m finding Russell Brand super interesting at the minute. He’s got some interesting views which I imagine we could discuss at depth together in the hot tubs of Hesdin Hall over lots of wine, looking up at the stars, getting into heated debates”

2. Imagine you're hosting a splash-tastic pool party at The Hesdin Estate. Which three famous figures, alive or historical, would you invite to make a splash and keep the good vibes flowing?

“It’s got to be David Guetta for some tunes, Gordan Ramsay for some ultimate pool side food, and maybe Phelps to show us how slow we all actually are at swimming.”

3. We all love a little friendly competition! Which game in The Hesdin Estate's incredible games room brings out your inner game guru? And most importantly, what victory dance would you break out if you were crowned the champion?

"I like to pretend I’m not competitive, only I have to win. I love the arcade games in Hesdin Hall. I think as a kid they used to be so much fun to play with but you’d always just be getting in to it, and then your money would run out. I love that I can play on the arcade games for hours and no money is needed! Result. As for my victory dance, i’ve never actually won anything in my house, buuuut if I did, I imagine it would be a running, fully dressed bomb into the pool”

4. Food is an essential part of any dream weekend away. If you had to create a signature cocktail inspired by The Hesdin Estate and snack, what would make it the talk of the town?

“I created in one of the houses a selection of Hesdin Cocktails…. which we love. Including Hesdin’s Battle Juice. Hesdin was named after the famous, yet disgraced, French Knight who was gifted the Estate by William The Conqueror.
As for Signature snack - it’s got to be a crisp and a dip. ANY crisp or dip will do”

6. Let your imagination run wild! If The Hesdin Estate had a secret hidden room or a mysterious passage, what kind of thrilling adventure or mind-boggling puzzle would you want to uncover within its walls? Unleash your inner detective!

We’ve talked about restoring Arnulf De Hesdin’s private chapel that was on the grounds and turning it into something fun. I love the idea of a huge silent disco space where guests from all of the houses can go in and play, but need to convince the boss!
